The Accursed Room was the throneroom of the ancient kings of Valusia. It was there that Eallal[3] was slain circa 19,500 BC by the Serpent-Men.[1]

History

The Accursed Room was the throneroom of the ancient kings of Valusia.

Circa 19,500 BC, King Eallal was found hideously murdered by Serpent-Men in his throne room. Eallal became a ghost, slave to Serpent-Men, and patrolled the secret corridor of the palace.

Circa 18,500 BC, the Serpent-Men used secret passages from the Accursed Room to King Kull's chamber, intending to slay him. Kull and Brule were tricked by the Serpent-Men, believing they were fighting the elder race in the Council Chamber instead of in the Accused Room, while a Serpent-Man impersonated Kull. After defeating the impersonator, Kull brought his councilmen to the Accused Room, where he showed them the snake-people's body, before sealing the Room with his sword.[1]

Gonra of the Sword (a 19,500 BC Valusian warrior brought back to life by Kull) was tricked by Duarvio and Meicus into unsealing the chamber, as the greedy pair intended to plunder riches from it. After Gonra unsealed the door, Duarvio rushed to find his treasure (and never to be seen again, Meicus was killed instants later by the view of the ghost of Eallal (who went on to try and slay Kull), and Gonra slew many Serpent Men before being wounded and retreating to warn Kull. Triumphant over Eallal, Kull immediately headed to the Accursed Chamber, where he slew Serpent-Men, including one posing as Gonra. Once the Serpent Men slain, Kull ordered the Accursed Room to be cleaned with fire and sealed with brick and mortar.[2]
