History

Adam Kane was the former Chief Bio geneticist at Genomex. Adam was mentored by Doctor Paul Breedlove and was part of a DNA alteration program that was originally intended to save ill children but ended up giving many of them new mutant abilities. Once the program went south, Adam left and created Mutant X, a team of mutants meant to protect these new mutants from Genomex and Adam's rival, Mason Eckhart.

Adam was able to track down and save Emma DeLauro from Genomex's goons with the help of Shalimar Fox and Jesse Kilmartin. After saving her, they brought her back to their secret mountain base, Stormking Mountain. After explaining the creation of new mutant powers to Emma and offering her a role on the team, Emma initially refused until she was later chased down again by Genomex and saved by the team.
