History

The admiral of the Xandarian space fleet was the father of Cortellia. His daughter was assigned to Gabriel Lan's ship the Way-Opener, the worst ship in the fleet. When Gabriel Lan was abducted by Galactus the ship's first mate (and Cortellia's lover) Pyreus Kril was made commander. Pyreus Kril went looking for Galactus but the Admiral refused to send any other ships to help the Way Opener find Galactus.
