History

During the cold war, Adrian Eiskalt was a soldier in the East German Army. Along with his brother, Utë, he took part in a failed attack on Wundagore Mountain, and was forced to flee when his unit was attacked by Magneto who destroyed their vehicles and weapons. While retreating, the Eiskalt brothers stumbled across the grave of Magda Eisenhardt, Magneto's wife. When Magneto demanded they leave, Adrian's brother drew his gun. Magneto shielded himself, and Ute's bullet ricocheted back at him, killing him.

Adrian survived and became obsessed with avenging his brother, convincing himself that Magneto had deliberately killed Ute. Years later, he joined a small task force dedicated to capturing Magneto – Adrian, however, intended to use the technology he'd been given to avenge his brother and kill the master of magnetism.

Armed with a metal-free weapon and a bodysuit that would mask his bio-electric readings from Magneto's senses, Adrian lay in wait near Magda's grave, certain that Magneto would return to his wife's grave. There he saw Magneto crying over his dead wife, and for once, he recognized his enemy as a person and not just a monster. Remembering the truth about his brother's death, he abandoned his mission of revenge, realizing hate had consumed his life.[1]
