History
Dr. Adrienne Brashear was the daughter of Adam Brashear, also known as the super hero Blue Marvel. Adrienne was the soon-to-be-promoted assistant administrator of Project P.E.G.A.S.U.S.. As part of their research on renewable energy sources, Adrienne was investigating Iso-8, hoping to use the theorized similarities with Cosmic Cubes for the benefit of humanity.
Adrienne received Captain Marvel when she visited the Project P.E.G.A.S.U.S. Facility investigating the lecture of Cosmic Cube energy signatures. As soon as she learned that Adrienne was working with both Iso-8 and Cosmic Cube fragments, Carol shut the project down.[2] However, Brashear's student Logan Lewis was confident they were close to a breakthrough and subjected herself to the Iso-8 compound they were working on.[3]
She was quite scared at first, as she began losing control over her body, but Adrienne Brashear helped her get stabilized and later developed a special suit that would help her manage her new powers.[3]Notes
