Synopsis for "The Withered Hand"

A Tibetan monk warns a man that a ruby is lighted from within by the soul of a sinner, but he cuts off the monk's hand clutching the ruby anyway and heads for the States. The monk puts a curse on him that when the had withers, the monk will come for him. From the States, he sells the ruby back to the monks for a million dollars and keeps the hand preserved, just to be safe. His wife tires of his affairs and throws the box containing the hand into the fire. The man finds himself trapped within the ruby back with the monks for all eternity.

Synopsis for "Meet the Bride"

A marriage agent named Herbert Burok finds out his clients have been disappearing after getting married. One day during office hours a rich homely woman who says she can cook comes in looking for a husband. Herbert volunteers himself to be her husband out of greed and the two soon wed afterwards. Upon arriving at his new bride's home he's rushed by many other such women like his bride who were once Herbert's clients. They guide him into the kitchen where he's pushed into a boiling pot to be cooked in which answers his final question. "What happened to them?"
