History
Akaje was the brother of the monarch of Dakenia who was betrothed to Najita, whom Akaje was in love with. As per tradition Najita married Akaje's brother and became queen. Akaje and Najita continued their affair after the wedding and Najita bore a son, Jamal, who was Akaje's but she pretended he was his brother's son. Akaje poisoned his brother, killing him, and according to custom married his widow, ascending to the throne of Dakenia himself. Akaje was later poisoned by Alex Benedict, probably on behalf of Najita. Jamal then inherited the throne of Dakenia.[1]
