History

Alan Lewis was an anti-mutant activist. Believing that Senator Robert Kelly betrayed the anti-mutant cause by toning down his rhetoric, Lewis shot him while he was speaking at a college rally. Cable was guarding Kelly, but was distracted by Moira MacTaggert's apparent death, and failed to rescue him, and Kelly died from the inflicted wounds.
