History

Albert Rinkov (Earth-1226) from Marvel's Hit-Monkey Season 2 1 001

A world-renowned artist and painter, Albert Rinkov led a secret life as Shepherd of the Aldermen, a secret society of eight who have manipulated the world from the shadows for hundreds of years. Rinkov possessed the Shepherd's Staff which allowed him to control any animal.[1]

After three of the Aldermen have been killed by the Assassins Cooperative, the Shepherd enlarged a cat and send it after Haruka to retrive Bonsai Master's sword, which was unsuccessful.[2] As the only two other Aldermen other than himself were taken out by the Cooperative with the help of Monkey, Rinkov grew tired of life and wished to pass the legacy of the Aldermen to others. He invited the Cooperative to a dinner at his estate, but only Bryce had shown up, with everyone else expecting an ambush. Rinkov had a pleasant meal and conversation with Bryce, after which he shot himself in the head. His wife Valerie had been aware of his intentions and picked up the staff, becoming the next Shepherd.[1]
