History
Alex was a young mutant with the power to influence the emotions of those around him. One day, he watching his friend's soccer game when he began being bullied by a group of boys. Thao Tran, one of his friend's teammates, witness this and, being a mutant herself, decided to intervene. However, she escalated the situation and, with little control over their powers, they both needed Kate Pryde's assistance. When the dust settled, Pryde gave them the contact of another young mutant, Trista Marshall, so the three of them could get together and talk about their experiences.[2]
