Rhino shared a similar history to Earth-616 counterpart until after Peter Parker started a family with Mary Jane. Through means unknown he was able to surgically remove his costume and met up with Peter when he had to take his Aunt Yelena to the doctor. While the two had their differences, they found that they had a lot in common.
