—Jennifer Kale[source]The fact that the face swelling decreased so quickly means it could be only one type of poison, Alewife's Revenge.
The Alewife's Revenge was deadly magical poison.[1]
History
Properties
The first symptom of ingesting Alewife's Revenge was extreme swelling of the face. After the swelling subsides, victims would experience dizziness, delirium, ataxia, tachycardia, and visual/auditory hallucinations. If no antidote is administered, victims die within 30 minutes.[1]
Antidote[]
To brew an antidote to Alewife's Revenge, combine eye of newt (mustard seed) and the gut of a eusocial insect (honey) in a cauldron of water. Next add the remains of a corpse that's been decaying for at least 30 million years (like zooplankton remains found in petroleum products) followed by three drops of frankincense. When the potion turns pink, bring to a boil while stirring counterclockwise with your dominant hand. Next add a strand of hair of those poisoned and needing the antidote, then clasp hands, clear your minds, and align your intentions until the potion glows chartreuse. Finally, add the blood of the unpoisoned and the potion should glow bright cerulean when ready.
