History
How is this guy worse than a zombie? How is that even possible?!
- -- Arachno-Man src
Superior Spider-Man
Alistair Smythe was the murderer of Marla Jameson, who killed her in retaliation because her husband Mayor J. Jonah Jameson caused the death of his father. When he evaded his execution, he was hunted down and killed by Superior Spider-Man.
Return
Smythe was resurrected by Jackal and he once again started scheming against Jameson. He kidnapped John's girlfriend, Hann Riel, but she was rescued by The Amazing Spider-Man and a spider-powered Jameson.
The Tournament
Spider-Slayer took part in a contest where the winner would receive powers similar to those of Spider-Man. He was the second opponent of Arachno-Man, who ended up defeating Smythe.[1]
