Synopsis for 1st story

Picking up where the last issue left off, the Vision takes the Nega-bands and klangs them together to transport himself to the Negative Zone, trapping himself in place of Spider-Man. Vision fights Annihilus in the Negative Zone, and Iron Man then takes the bands from Spider-Man in the normal universe and is about to swap places with Vision. Vision convinces Iron Man to send Thor instead, who uses the bands to swap to the Negative Zone and tries to destroy Annihilus' universe-destroying weapon, but she finds her hammer useless against it.

Meanwhile, on Earth in Washington D.C., Janet Van Dyne and her newly-discoverd stepdaughter, Nadia, spend the day experiencing the fun things to do in America. At the end of their self-described wonderful day, they receive a call from their butler friend Jarvis to return to Janet's house to meet some Russian government agents waiting there for Nadia.

In outer space, the Avengers decide to have Ms. Marvel use the bands to swap out for Thor in the Negative Zone, and then Ms. Marvel shrinks herself down to the size that she can sneak inside the Annihilus weapon. Ms. Marvel begins feeling sick due to the radiation inside the weapon, so the Avenger Nova uses the bands to swap with her and blows up the weapon from the inside. Annhilus begins pummeling Nova, so Thor swaps out with him. Thor throws her hammer away as Annihilus is tackling her, and at the last second as her hammer is returning, Iron Man swaps out with her in the Negative Zone. Iron Man grabs hold of the sailing hammer, and with Thor calling it back from the normal, positive universe, the hammer travels across time and space to return to her hand, Iron Man attached to it. Thus, all of the Avengers are returned to the normal universe with Annihilus still trapped the Negative Zone with his ultimate weapon destroyed.

Having saved many aliens from slavery to Annihilus, the Avengers help all of alien refugees rebuild their ships to get home, and then the Avengers themselves decide to return home to Earth even though they did not find Nova's lost father as they originally intended. Despite his father still being missing, Nova has a positive change in attitude toward space and comments that it was a good day.
