Synopsis for 1st story
The Vision upgrades himself with new technology to project light holograms from his head. Elsewhere, Kamala Khan (Ms. Marvel) is at home writing fan fiction when an Avengers meeting is called and Spider-Man gives her a ride to their headquarters. There is a flashback to a fight earlier that day in which Ms. Marvel and the Vision alone take down a robot created by the Thinker without any of the other Avengers members present.
At the meeting, Kamala is accused by the other Avengers that she put bystander lives in danger during the battle earlier in the day based on a recording shown to them by the Vision. In retaliation for her carelessness, the senior members of the Avengers officially remove her from the team. As Kamala leaves, crying, she encounters Nova who was arriving late for the meeting and tells him what happened. A furious Nova storms in and accuses the Vision of lying, to which the other team members argue against him. An alarm sounds, and as the Avengers leave to investigate the threat, Captain America removes Nova from the team as well.
The Avengers find multiple copies of the villain Equinox attacking a part of the city, and discover that they are being controlled by the owner of the old Avengers Tower, Mister Gryphon. Iron Man realizes that Grpyphon is really a version of Kang the Conqueror, at at that moment Vision turns on his teammates, revealing that he is and has been under the control of Kang. As the battle continues, Thor and Captain America are knocked through a small portal to the future and Thor is separated from her hammer, causing a surprise transformation into her sickly mortal form of the cancer-ridden Jane Foster.
