Synopsis for 1st story
Picking up from the previous issue, the battle rages between Mister Gryphon (Kang) and the remaining members of the Avengers still in the present. Elsewhere, a rejected Ms. Marvel and Nova discuss how they have been ousted from the Avengers team, but decide that they still need to help their ex-teammates and theorize that perhaps there is something wrong with Vision, who betrayed them. The two young heroes arrive to help fight the battle with the rest of the Avengers against Mister Gryphon, who explains how he was split off from the other Kangs due to a "glitch in the timestream" and was able to take control of the Vision to have the synthezoid betray his teammates. Meanwhile, in the near future, Captain America takes Jane Foster to Thor's hammer where it was left in the alternate future they are currently in, a future in which the Avengers lost. Jane is able to touch the hammer and become Thor once more, and then is able to use the hammer to transport herself and Captain America back to the present time where their teammates are fighting Kang.
The Vision has his system rebooted by Iron Man when he tries to phase through the Avenger, clearing out the control Kang has over the synthezoid. An enraged Vision then attacks Kang and while they are engaged in the climactic final confrontation, Thor picks up the Mjolnir hammer of the present and smashes it together with the hammer she is holding from the near future. This causes a time paradox that absorbs Kang and and sinks him away into a timestream. As the heroes recover from the battle, the Vision apologizes for his actions, and then flies away to reflect on what has happened during his time under Kang's control.
Some time later, Captain America in his civilian identity of Sam Wilson goes to visit Jane Foster (Thor) at the hospital for her cancer treatment, offering an opportunity for her to share her secrets.
