History
Alpha Flight's history is presumably similar to their Earth-616 counterpart's. A war erupted between the United States and Canada when the Squadron Supreme and a large army invaded the provinces of Alberta and British Columbia for their resources. Alpha Flight fought in the war, and many of their members were killed. The remaining members fought the Squadron Supreme at Quetico Provincial Park in Ontario where Alpha Flight's leader Weapon X managed to kill Hyperion after Shaman used magic to enhance his claws. Despite Hyperion's death, the Squadron Supreme were still able to dominate Alpha Flight. So, Shaman used a teleportation spell to enable him and his team to flee.[1][2]
Two years later, the Squadron Supreme and their army continued to attack Canada in revenge for what Weapon X did to Hyperion with supporters of Alpha Flight being arrested and threatened with jail time and even death. Alpha Flight was constantly on the run, and its members felt disheartened. After an argument with Weapon X, Sasquatch left. After talking with ally Truett Hudson, Weapon X decided to send a message to their enemies. 10 days later, Alpha Flight fought some soldiers in Windsor, Nova Scotia and captured them. Weapon X then told the soldiers to give a message to Squadron Supreme Nighthawk: he wouldn't kill any soldiers if they stopped their raids in Canada and free their prisoners.
Sasquatch later returned and told the team that he discovered that the Squadron Supreme planned to try their prisoners for treason, which would result in execution if convicted, and the first batch of prisoners were to be held in Ottawa. Alpha Flight went to Ottawa to free the prisoners, but they ended up falling into a trap set by the Squadron Supreme. Hyperion, somehow returned to life, immediately attacked Weapon X. Shaman attempted to aid Weapon X, but he was unexpectedly grabbed by Sasquatch with the rest of Alpha Flight immobilized by the Squadron Supreme. After Hyperion brutally beat Weapon X, he had his teammate Doctor Spectrum take Weapon X to the far-off Black Galaxy. With Weapon X gone, the Squadron Supreme freed Alpha Flight's remaining members and their prisoners and ended their operations in Canada. After the Squadron left, Alpha Flight learned that Sasquatch had made a deal with the Squadron where Weapon X would be dealt in exchange for the Squadron leaving the rest of Canada alone. While his teammates were upset, Sasquatch felt that he had no choice as they had already lost. With that, Alpha Flight chose to disband.[1]Paraphernalia
