History

This Life-Model Decoy was created by Aida on behalf of Dr. Holden Radcliffe to replace Alphonso "Mack" Mackenzie, a high-ranking agent of S.H.I.E.L.D.. While he spent most of his time in the Framework, a vividly realistic simulation of the real world Aida created with the Darkhold, Radcliffe tasked her with replacing many of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s top agents with LMDs so they could also be placed in the Framework.[1]

Agent Mackenzie was captured and replaced with an LMD along with Phil Coulson, Leo Fitz, and Jeffrey Mace when S.H.I.E.L.D. tried to rescue Mace from Anton Ivanov.[2] Unlike the previous LMD sent to replace Melinda May, these LMDs were aware of their true purpose so they could quickly replace Jemma Simmons and Daisy Johnson with their LMD counterparts.[3]

The LMDs put their plan in motion once they arrived at S.H.I.E.L.D.'s headquarters. The Mack LMD and Agent Johnson would personally see Inhumans as the arrived at the base. Unknown to Daisy, however, they would be killed on sight by multiple, inactive LMDs in made in her image. Daisy accidentally discovered this "Daisy Fleet,"[1] alerting her to the sinister plot. The Mack LMD realized she might have discovered them, and went to the containment unit where they were being held to handle the situation. Daisy disguised herself as one of the LMDs, knocked out the Mack LMD with her Inhuman powers, and took his shotgun-axe.[1]

With both Daisy and Simmons aware their friends had been replaced with LMDs, the Coulson LMD rallied the other S.H.I.E.L.D. agents against them, framing them as LMD impostors. The two agents used sleeping gas to harmlessly knock out the agents, leaving only the LMDs to stop them. The Mack and Coulson LMDs corned Daisy after she defeated the LMD of Jeffrey Mace. The Mack LMD was destroyed when Daisy used her powers to throw both of them away from her.[1]
