History

Amadeus Cho was one of the billions of humans who were turned into vampires by the V-Wave, a dark magic unleashed by Deacon Frost when he offered himself as host to La Magra. He was grabbed by the Vampire King of New York City and persuaded into working for him, building his tech in exchange for blood.

During his first week working for the King, Amadeus was dangled over the shaft of the broken elevator in Fisk Tower Zero for thirty seconds. His photographic memory only needed two to store all the information he could use against the King at a later point in time. For approximately two years, Amadeus observed Blade and noticed he had been growing more violent with time, leading Amadeus to theorize the Daywalker had been burning through the serum that kept his bloodthirst at bay faster than before, due to being possessed by La Magra. Additionally, Amadeus believed Blade wore shades to hide the glowing red eyes La Magra supposedly granted to its host. The Vampire King, wanting to take Blade off the board for good and intending to make the whole world bow down to him, began to develop a cure for vampirism. He eventually ordered Amadeus to encrypt it for him, believing the boy wouldn't figure out what he was working on.

In the second anniversary of V-Day, as the day on which the V-Wave was unleashed came to be known, Amadeus ran away from Fisk Tower Zero and some minions of the King were sent after him, but they ended up being killed by Blade before they could fulfill their mission. Before Blade could get to Amadeus too, however, Citizen V appeared and rescued him, taking the boy to the Last Avengers' hideout. There, Amadeus told them about the cure and shared his theory about Blade. Hoping they could use this cure to restore the world as it was before the V-Day, Citizen V and his teammates convinced Amadeus to help them get inside Fisk Tower Zero to find it.

Amadeus instructed the trio to access the sub-basement of the building through the sewers, and use the shaft of the broken elevator there to make their way up to the penthouse. In the meantime, he would try to distract the King and his henchmen. However, the King was already suspecting Amadeus would return and try to do something against him, so he had his men set an ambush in the new elevator he bought to replace the broken one. The King was about to deal with Amadeus when Blade gassed the whole building with aerosolized silver, killing most of the vampires there.

Surviving by using a wet towel as gas mask, Amadeus tried to hide from Blade, but was quickly found by him. Citizen V intercepted the Daywalker as he was about to get to Amadeus again, and ended up being killed for it. Amadeus was subsequently caught by Blade, as he attempted to hit the Daywalker from behind. Believing his theory about Blade being possessed by La Magra to be right, Amadeus tried to convince him to fight the demon so they could save the world together. Confused, Blade removed his shades to reveal his blank eyes, thus proving Amadeus wrong. The Daywalker then proceeded to throw Amadeus through the window of the building, causing his death, as the sun was rising at the moment.[1]
