History

Amalric the Aquilonian was, along with Conan, part of a mercenary army that invaded Stygia and was ultimately decimated as a result of treachery. Amalric become separated from Conan, but the latter spied him, days later, with a beautiful girl named Lissa being chased across the night desert by seven fiery-eyed, skull-faced horsemen. However, the monsters vanished as soon as conan rushed to his friend's aid. Amalric took Lissa back to her birthplace, Gazal, only to then save her from Ollam-Onga, the demon of the red tower. He was later pursued once more by the skull-riders, however, he safely reached Tombalku, where he slew a local wizard named Askia. Afterward, Almaric and Conan encountered an approaching caravan outside the city gates, they followed the traders to bypass Tombalku's civil war, and joined their group.
