Synopsis for "Poison Tomorrow, Part 1 of 6: Worst. Homecoming. Ever."
Tragedy strikes when Carmilla Black's poisonous powers kick in during her homecoming dance, accidentally killing her boyfriend. Having run away from home after the incident, she returns three years later when her adoptive parents are found dead. Taking care of their affairs, she checks in on a safety deposit box at the bank, running into old friend Janice before opening the box to discover her birth certificate, which identifies her as Thasanee Rappaccini from Madripoor. Carmilla catches up with Janice by the river, getting into an argument about her prolonged absence when the two are interrupted by armed men aiming to capture her. She fights them before a ship appears and she is taken in by S.H.I.E.L.D. agents, slapping a device on her wrist that transforms into a gauntlet. In custody, Carmilla learns of her biological mother, A.I.M. Scientist Supreme Monica Rappaccini, who had sent the men to recover her. Giving her the codename 'Scorpion' and control of her new gauntlet, S.H.I.E.L.D. enlists her help to go undercover and get access to her mother. Taking their mission as her own, Scorpion boards a plane leaving for Madripoor.
