Synopsis for "Poison Tomorrow, Part 2 of 6: Motherless Country"
Arriving in Madripoor, Carmilla is quickly kicked out of the orphanage when she goes for answers. She decides to check out the Royal Palace and museum with Troy, a handsome man she met on the plane. They spend some time together before he walks her back to her hotel, her gauntlet sounding off and preventing a potential nightcap. She dons her new suit and sets out to acquire records from the orphanage. Securing pictures of the files, she is instructed to exit silently but engages the human traffickers running the orphanage to protect the girls she finds. The girls escape, but Scorpion is stabbed with a syringe, paralyzed and captured. The next day she awakes where the men put her: in a royal funeral procession, in the casket of the deceased before it is lit aflame! Back at her hotel, her mother comes looking for Carmilla, asking for her room number.
