Synopsis for "El cuarteto de la muerte"
El Buitre a fearsome supervillain with a laboratory on the roof of an old building, seeks to associate himself with the most extraordinary group of criminals, which includes el Alfiler and two unknown men who were sent to prison by el Hombre Araña. El Buitre offers to avenge that affront, in exchange for being the head of the gang. As part of his plan, El Buitre convinces the Productores Unidos company, which has not had a success for years, to film a Hombre Araña movie, starring the true superhero.
In college, Peter has scored top marks on an exam, impressing Mary Jane. Harry is worried that Peter is trying to steal his girlfriend, but Peter slips away to chase down a flying man mentioned in the news. That man is el Buitre, who offers el Hombre Araña a deal by starring in the movie. Productores Unidos offers one hundred thousand pesos to el Hombre Araña for acting in a movie facing alleged actors who represent El euitre and el Alfiler. Peter gets an excuse to go to the shoot when el Señor Jameson sends him to take photos of the shoot in a desert area (although Tía May is worried about his health).
Actually, the film does not use actors, but instead the real Buitre and Alfiler, with the other criminals, will take the opportunity to ambush el Hombre Araña. El Hombre Araña's spider instincts warn him of danger, so Peter dodges his first attacks; but he fails to notify the director of the real situation. The criminals gang up on el Hombre Araña and pummel him, but he manages to cause a cloud of dust to blind them and sneak into a cave. The villains block the exit of the cave, with them inside to try to trap el Hombre Araña. El Hombre Araña takes out two criminals, and el Buitre finds that indoors he has less of an advantage. El Buitre causes an avalanche with his bombs, trapping several of his allies (although Pin escapes). el Hombre Araña manages to get out of the cave and continues fighting with el Buitre; but finally el Buitre manages to escape. The villain did not expect that el Hombre Araña could defeat all criminals.
Upon discovering that the criminals were real and that one has escaped, the director cancels the shooting of the film. He only pays el Hombre Araña for his expenses, which will be for Aunt May's medicine, and offers to call him for booking needs.
