Synopsis for "La Venganza de Hidra"
In the first scene, the narrator (the editor?) addresses the audience, saying that the writer and the cartoonist had not finished this story, but that he was publishing it anyway.
The fearsome villain Hidra causes a flash to distract the attention of her enemies, including el Hombre Araña, and steal.
Peter picks up Gwen, who was visiting her uncle, and they go on a date. The next day, at the University, Peter's classmates criticize him, but he is happy with his girlfriend.
Hidra thinks about her plan: she "visits" museums, steals valuable archaeological figures, and in a few months she intends to be the richest woman in the world. She also wants revenge on her enemies, el Hombre Araña and others, who had sent her to prison.
Hidra's crimes appear in the press, except in the Clarín: Jameson wanted Peter to give him photos of her. But, as Peter leaves, Hidra enters Jameson's office to task him with posting a threatening note on her behalf, for el Hombre Araña to reply. Seeing the printed edition, Peter talks to Jameson, appealing to his friendship with el Hombre Araña, but Jameson gives him no further information.
Peter walks with Gwen in the park. Sensing danger, he decides to leave Gwen at home. She finds him pale, and he asks that she not alarm Aunt May. Peter disguises himself as el Hombre Araña and escapes from his bedroom, following a suspicious car driven by Hidra. Hidra tries to attract el Hombre Araña by attacking some boys, so they call the hero and the police. El Hombre Araña confronts Hidra, but she knocks him out with a karate chop, takes him into her car, locks him in a dungeon, and tries to kill him there. El Hombre Araña fights her again, and she knocks him out once more. Believing him dead, Hidra goes to rob a bank, after which she intends to leave the city, considering her revenge closed.
El Hombre Araña recovers and follows his spider-sense to the bank, where the police tell him that Hidra has stolen the money. In a police car, el Hombre Araña follows Hidra's car, jumps on it and grapples with her, causing a traffic accident. El Hombre Araña jumps out in time, and the medics find Hidra mortally wounded; if she survives, she will go to jail for many years. El Hombre Araña leaves without waiting for the police to thank him.
Peter goes home, changes, and just a few seconds later May and Gwen walk in. Concerned, May offers him milk, although he says that she is fine.
