Synopsis for 1st story

In Midtown, a driver is furious Digger made him stop for ice cream on the way to Rose's makeshift HQ. As Digger brushes it off, they arrive to see NYPD arresting their comrades and flee as their boss is taken away. Outside the scene, a still bloodied Spider-Man is perched overlooking the results of his raid on Rose's base, enraged at being played by Tombstone to end his gang war for him. Elsewhere, Tombstone denies Hammerhead's allegations of conspiring with Spider-Man as the hero was seen with him after his attack on Crime Master's turf[2] before the web-head's return days later for the Rose's removal.[3] Although Hammerhead won't say Tombstone is working with Spider-Man, he states how Tombstone should realize what that could mean if anyone ever says such. Tombstone counters that he'd kill himself first, and that he roughed up Spider-Man so great that the hero went after a softer target like the Rose. As everyone quietly ponders his words, Tombstone also notes that Crime Master isn't much with Hammerhead agreeing, all at Crime Master's offense.

In Alphabet City, the Debt Collector stalking Peter is revealed to be under Black Cat's sway, reporting no encounter with Peter in the time he's been stationed. Commenting that Peter could only bypass him through pipes, Felicia smirks and leaves for the roof to encounter a battered and unmasked Peter. Asking how he is considering the things she's heard, Peter states he doesn't need help and she understands why: his heart is broken. Felicia tells the hurt Peter that she'll let him get angry but wants him to heal for once since he's been active since his injury from his team-up with Ben.[1] She tells him to stop being hurt and to be smart because he is at his best when he has fun, but he thanks her for the words and reiterates his "handling" his situation. Felicia eye rolls him before asking he call her once he figures himself out and maybe she'll let him chase her, departing with flare as Peter smiles thankful for the talk. At 6am another morning, a still healing Peter wakes up and stalks Tombstone's operation for almost 10 hours before getting an idea. Returning to Rose's hideout taped off by NYPD, he finds Digger with the driver he escaped with eating TV dinners. Webbing up the other guy, Spider-Man tries to negotiate a deal with Digger and the thirteen voices in his head about getting back in with Rose.

In Long Island the next day, Randy and Janice leave with Robbie after a lunch with Tombstone, as Robbie still questions that "kidnapping" detail[3] which Tombstone brushes off as a misunderstanding. Inside, he has a brief call with White Rabbit before finding Spider-Man who mocks a "partnership" with Tombstone, telling him he only wants Tombstone to "play nice." As another call comes in, Spider-Man tells Tombstone his safe house was compromised just before White Rabbit alerts him that Digger is attacking. Spider-Man calls the situation even, with Tombstone impressed he did teach him something, and Spider-Man voices his sympathies to Tombstone about his boyhood backstory.[4] Weirded out, Tombstone asks Spider-Man to leave his house. That evening at Aunt May's home, she takes the dinner to the kitchen with Peter being five minutes late, but is surprised to see him at the door and injured. He makes a racketball joke to lighten the mood before May invites him to sit and resets their dinner to eat, as Peter thanks her as it's good to be back.
