History
Ame-No-Tamaboko (天沼矛) is a powerful, jeweled spear wielded by Izanagi, the ruler of the Amatsu-Kami. Izanagi often channels his vast energy powers through Ame-No-Tamaboko for a variety of effects, to include augmentation of physical strength and endurance, the enchantment of living beings or objects, the projection of energy bolts, and the creation of interdimensional apertures.[1]
Eons ago, Izanagi descended from Ama to Earth on Ama-No-Hashidate (the Bridge of Heaven) and dipped Ame-No-Tamaboko into the seemingly endless primordial void where Amatsu-Mikaboshi once existed in a state of eternal nothingness, forming the islands of Japan (much to the displeasure of Amatsu-Mikaboshi).[2]See Also
