America's past mirrored that of her counterpart operating out of Earth-616 until about 30 years prior when Hawkeye and Hawkeye ended their partnership.
At some point in her history, America became an agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. and took on the codename of Captain America, though her and Bishop would remain close. After Director Hill set Bishop and Barton up to be killed by the Mandarin, America met the duo as they were bringing back Project Communion 2 in order to help them free Project Communion 1 and Project Communion 3. America also prepped a Quinjet in order to allow the Hawkeyes to escape.
While making their way through the base, America warned Clint that Kate had done well for herself without him, and to stay away.[1]
