History
Anais, a cat-like mutant, served an order devoted to the return of Apocalypse. Her loyalty earned her the trust of Ozymandias, who tasked her with finding Apocalypse after he had merged with Cyclops and wandered Africa as an amnesiac. Anais tracked Cyclops to Morocco, where she warned him of danger and promised answers if he followed her. After Cyclops rescued his friends from Gauntlet’s mercenaries, he reluctantly joined Anais, sensing her connection to Apocalypse's influence.
Defying Ozymandias’s orders, Anais took Cyclops toward Akkaba, believing she was destined to serve as Apocalypse’s vessel. When a military unit stopped them at the Libyan border, Anais seduced the soldiers before killing them with her claws. She returned to find Cyclops using his optic blast to defeat the remaining guards, further confirming her belief that Apocalypse’s influence was growing.
In Egypt, they hid in a hotel in Farafirah, but Caliban, under the sway of his Pestilence powers, spread disease through the town. When Cyclops disappeared after confronting Caliban, Phoenix and Cable tracked him to a cave. Anais followed and attacked Caliban, claiming to be Apocalypse’s true servant. During the ensuing chaos, Cyclops freed Caliban from Pestilence’s powers and escaped.
Anais later found Cyclops at the ruins of Akkaba, urging him to embrace Apocalypse’s will. When he refused, Anais attacked him, determined to extract Apocalypse's essence for herself. Cable and Phoenix intervened, removing Apocalypse’s influence from Cyclops. After Cable destroyed Apocalypse with his Psimitar, Anais coldly remarked that everything touched by Apocalypse is changed forever before vanishing into the shadows.[2]
Her current status and whereabouts post M-Day are unknown.Attributes
Powers
Anais possesses the mutant ability to transform into a cat-like creature possessing superhuman strength and agility and extendable talons. She has full control over the process and the ability to shift into multiple distinct variations. In her normal state, she appears as a young Middle-Eastern woman with no visible signs of mutation. When she transforms, her skin turns light grey and grows soft fur, and she sprouts a long tail. Her behavior becomes more feral and predatory in this form.
During mid-transformation, Anais can extend her fingers into razor-sharp, knife-like claws approximately 23 inches long—sharp enough to decapitate a human with ease. Additionally, tribal-like markings appear on her face and shoulders when she assumes her cat-like form.Abilities

Notes
- She has no know connection to Anaïs another cat-woman with an almost identical name.
