History
Dr. Anatoly Petrov was a writer and lecturer on superhuman studies at Lomonosov Moscow State University. While working on a book about Doctor Doom, which was going to state that Doom was the greatest villain of all time, he was confronted by Kang the Conqueror who believed he was the greatest villain, not Doom. To prove Petrov wrong, Kang took Petrov through time to demonstrate his abilities. During their trip, Kang was informed that there was a disturbance in the timestream. So, Kang took Petrov to Oracle Base to investigate the disturbance, which he learned was caused by Pirate Timeline 20208-Manticore-Green. Then Oracle Base was attacked by Avenger Prime's Deathloks, forcing Kang and Petrov to flee. Petrov chastized Kang for abandoning the Pythians to their deaths that worked in Oracle Base. Kang ended Petrov's protests by lecturing him on his beliefs.
After arriving in Earth-20208, Petrov and Kang discovered that the rogue timeline was being manipulated by Reed Richards, now going by Doom, using the Time and Reality Stones and the absorbed power of Celestials to reconnect it to the main timeline. Kang fought Richards but was overpowered. Before Richards could kill Kang, Petrov killed Richards with a spear. When Kang confronted Petrov for interfering with the fight, Petrov justified his actions that he was protecting his timeline and didn't care if Kang killed him for it. Kang spared Petrov, stating that he liked how Petrov stood up to him, which gave him hope for humanity. Kang then returned Petrov to his own time but warned that he would kill him if he ever wrote his book about Doom.[1]Attributes
