History
In Anchorage, Scott Summers met and fell in love with Madelyne Pryor.[1] There, they lived as a married couple with their son Nathan.[2]
After Madelyne disappeared, Scott investigated and went to the Anchorage Wilson Realty Company where he learned that his house was up for sale, and that someone posing as him put the house up on August 5 – the same day he left Alaska to join X-Factor. When he began demanding the real estate agent answer questions about his wife, she triggered the silent alarm and Scott was picked up by Officer Higgins. Higgins took him to the police station to sort out the story and see if there are any reports. Nothing turned up, and after Scott left, one of Higgin's fellow officers noted that there were no records on file of Scott and Maddie ever living in Anchorage. While somewhere not far away, Master Mold lurched across the state and attacked an office that has a computer with a modem.
Scott meanwhile went to Northstar Airways, the freight company that his grandfather owned. To his shock, it was apparently bought by a large company and his grandfather had left on a cruise. Corporate headquarters then fired all the old staff and replaced them. When Scott pressed them for details about his wife's location after the termination of her employment, the new boss at the company told him they had no record of her on file. When Scott loses his temper and tried to rough up the owner, he was tossed out and told not to come back. His search ended up being fruitless as everywhere he calls, nobody has any record of his wife on file. The Anchorage hospital even claimed they had no record of his son's birth on file. Not believing this, Scott decided to investigate himself and used his mutant powers to break in. As this use of his powers allowed Master Mold to pinpoint his location and head toward Anchorage, Scott found that there were no records of Madelyne or the birth of his son in the hospital records.[3]
After Scott destroyed his own home in frustration, he was arrested by the police. On the way to the police station, they were attacked by Master Mold, who Cyclops was able to defeat. Since rescuing the police in the process, he was no longer under arrest and free to continue the search for his wife.[4] The police, however, showed him to the morgue to see Madelyne's dead body. Scott held a funeral for her and while he wanted to continue mourning his wife, he soon realized that Warren needed him in New York.[5]
At a later point in time, Scott returned to Anchorage to meet with his grandparents and tell them truth about what happened with Madelyne and Nathan.[6]Points of Interest
