History

Sworn to silence and seclusion, the Anchorites are all the male Angels of Heven. For being rare, having one male birth for every hundred girl-children, overseen by the Hierophants the Anchorites are kept and guarded by the rest of the Angels inside temples, where they pray for the dead Angels who have no soul as Angels believe there's no afterlife for them.
