As a teenager, Andi Benton discovered that her gym teacher, Flash Thompson, was secretly the symbiote-augmented supersoldier Agent Venom when she and her father were attacked by Agent Venom's nemesis, Jack O'Lantern. While her father was killed, Andi was bonded to a piece of Agent Venom's symbiote and became his apprentice, Mania. Andi was eventually separated from her symbiote, but some time later bonded to the Scream symbiote in its place. After the Scream symbiote was killed, Andi bonded to Silence, a clone of the Scream symbiote merged with Anti-Venom.[1]
