History
Andrew Chaser was a freelance investigative reporter whose articles had appeared in various major newspapers. During his investigation into paranormals, Chaser met a CIA informant who briefed him on the facts about testing paranormal children and finding information about a former CIA agent turned rogue named Emmett Proudhawk.[2]
Andrew later went to investigate the Sanctuary site in San Francisco where many people had died in its explosion, but no trace of the boys with superpowers, of which he had found news on the Proudhawk File, where it was reported that a group of children paranormals were hunted by the government because their powers were uncontrollable. During the site inspection, he encountered Tyrone Jessup's astral form and together they went to the hospital where Tyrone's badly burned body was hospitalized and there Andrew played him a tape he had obtained by interviewing some people from the Foundations who mentioned about him and the other paranormal kids. Upon hearing from the Medusa Web, Scoop returned to Tyrone and told him that some of his friends might have survived but that a group of government-hired mercenaries were hunting them.[1]
Some time later, Tyrone met Andrew in a hotel in Los Angeles and there he confirmed that some of his friends were still alive and that the news had been given to him by a member of the Medusa Web who had offered to help him find them. However, Andrew pointed out that it was better not to totally trust people who worked on both sides of the fence.[3]
Andrew managed to get an interview with the leader of Medusa Web who honestly told him about the organization's purposes and what he wanted to do using the paranormals. Andrew later found out that he was being chased and had been for quite some time and they also knew that he was planning to publish a book on paranormals and government involvement, also when he met his CIA informant, before he was murdered by a sniper, he came to discover that his family was also controlled, and that the person responsible for all this was a very important person in the government and that he was himself a paranormal and that his name was Philip Nolan Voight.[4]
After being named President of the United States, Andrew managed to get a private interview with him in the nation's new capital of Denver. There Voight confessed to Chaser that he was indeed a paranormal but that he had lost his powers and revealed his intentions of domination and control by using the paranormals and at the same time threatening him and his family, convincing Chaser of the danger of that man and that it would have been appropriate that one day Voigt will have to be killed.[5]
