Angus among the Tuatha warriors

Angus,[2] also known as Aengus of the Brugh, was a Celtic deity revered as the god of love and youth.[3] As a member of the Tuatha de Danaan, he served as a warrior under the Dagda.[2] Angus was a great adventurer and wielded the legendary sword Moralltach, known as the Great Fury.[2]

The Dagda asks for Angus' patience

Recently, a giant troll, sent by the Fomorians, attacked a Tuatha village in Avalon. In response, the Dagda summoned Angus, Conor, and Cuthbadth to rally the Tuatha warriors and pursue their adversaries. The Dagda led his clan, including Angus and the others, to a cliff overlooking the Fomorians' camp. From this vantage point, they observed the hot-tempered god Leir, who had impulsively launched a direct assault on the Fomorians. Eager to join the fray, Angus asked the Dagda if they should join. However, the Dagda urged patience and chose a more strategic approach. Instead of engaging in direct combat, the Dagda conjured a swarm of hornets to disperse the Fomorians, avoiding unnecessary bloodshed.[2]
