History
The Fantastic Four first met Tony Stark to investigate why he sent various versions of the Iron Man armor to attack them. Arriving at Stark headquarters, Richards accused him of attempting to test the effectiveness of his armor technology against other heroes to impress his shareholders and that his pursuit of wealth was a waste of his genius. After deducing that someone had broken into his hall of armor and helping the FF save the employees of Stark Enterprises from a bomb, Iron Man went after the one responsible for stealing the technology – Dr. Doom. After initially refusing the FF's help, he did later team up with them to stop Doom, who had managed to control Iron Man’s armor and forced him to attack the world’s greatest heroes. Reed and H.E.R.B.I.E. eventually managed to override Doom’s control and defeated Doom. Iron Man then accepted the FF as friends and offered to return the favor they did for him.[1]
