History
At some point in the past, Iron Man, along with all the other non-mutant superheroes, had retired to the Moon. They returned to Earth after Magneto recruited them as a last ditch effort to combat the Sentinels, but his true plan was to get the heroes killed in order to bring back the animosity between humans and mutants.
