History
Legacy[]
During the final battle of the Superhuman Civil War, Iron Man and Captain America mortally wounded each other; Steve survived, but Tony didn't. Consumed by guilt and grief for the millions of lives lost, Steve vowed to honor Stark's memory by preventing another irrational conflict like the Civil War from ever happening again. Abandoning the mantle of Captain America, Steve Rogers combined Stark's Arc technology with his own arsenal to become the Civil Warrior.[1][2]
Civil Warrior was captured by the Collector to participate in his Contest of Champions and taken to the Battlerealm. There he witnessed a conflict between an alternate Iron Man and Captain America and their respective Iron and Blue Factions. Despite initially succumbing to remorse and inaction, Rogers snapped out of it and worked with the Summoner to end the Cosmic Civil War, saving millions of lives in the process.[2] Civil Warrior later reconciled with the former Iron Faction leader, gaining closure for his guilt over what happened to his Stark.[3]Paraphernalia
