History
When Necrom fought against Feron, he managed to grab a piece of the Phoenix Force with which animated a corpse buried underground that with the passage of time would become the Anti-Phoenix. Feron, meanwhile, prepared himself for the rise of the Anti-Phoenix, by setting up an order that would one day, in Excalibur’s time, include Feron and Brother Francis among its ranks. When Rachel Summers accidentally released the Anti-Phoenix, it found its way to Necrom, newly returned to Earth, and bound to him, making him extremely powerful.[1]
