Xeethra, Lord of the Ape Lords, Thasaidon
Notes
- The Ape Lords were created by Robert E. Howard in "The Curse of the Golden Skull"[2] (adapted in Conan the Barbarian #37; April, 1974), as "evil deities"[2] invoked by Rotath.
- They were then adapted in Conan: The Ravagers Out of Time #1 (June, 1992) as Rotath's ape-men army, and later as creations of Chthon in the Magic entry in Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe A to Z #7 (March, 2009).
- The two named Ape Lords, Xeethra and Thasaidon, are seemingly named respectively after the sheperd and the demon created by Clark Ashton Smith, in "Xeethra" (1934) and "The Dark Eidolon" (1935).
