The coils serve as a conduit for his lethal pheromones.

History

Arkady Rossovich seemingly had a similar history as his Earth-616 counterpart. He was a convicted criminal before being turned into Omega Red. As a government agent, he was an antagonist of Team X and was almost killed by operative Victor Creed.

All Sold Out

Circa 1970, he was sent to help guard the Numidian Army's super-soldier program. He and Madamoiselle Mirielle Duplessis found Creed breaking into the facility. They were about to kill him, but he was rescued by his Team X teammates, forcing them to retreat. They then regrouped with Leni Zauber; however, they were ambushed by both Team 7 and Team X. Rossovich chased them across the complex only for them to escape and destroy the facility. Omega Red survived and swore vengeance.
