History
Arthur-a-Bland was one of Sherwood's Merry Men, a band of outlaws led by Robin Hood, committed to fighting the Sheriff of Nottingham and the despot King of England John Lackland. Hidden deep in the forest, they attacked the nobles and the rich passing through, robbing them of their belongings which they then handed over to the harassed poor of Nottingham.[1]
