A dead man summons a ghost to haunt his wife's house so her guests will leave and he can kill her, but she confesses to him that he is already dead because she killed him the previous evening and he realizes that the ghost he has summoned is his own.

Professor Rall, a scientist, built a time machine and invites his friend and neighbor Harold Bevinson over to take it out for a test run before making it public. Professor Rall shows Harold the Battle of Gettysburg as well as George Washington crossing the Delaware River. While viewing George Washington the machine knocks him into the river almost drowning him but Harold jumps him and saves him with the Rall picking Harold up without anyone noticing which makes Rall declare Harold Bevinson a hero.
