This issue marks the first officially shown wedding of a gay couple for Marvel Comics.
Many characters are formerly dressed, and it is therefore hard to decipher who they are.
Many characters shown on the cover do not appear in the actual issue, including, but not all: Dr. Nemesis, Dazzler, and Indra, etc.
Rogue tells Kitty that she wonders what would have happened if her mothers were married, and if it would have made a difference. Her mothers are Destiny and Mystique
X-23 tells Jubilee how she has attended a wedding before, but only as an assassin.
