History
Astriel is a native who lived in an unnamed realm that is home to a race of immortals that existed a polar realm within the Frozen North during the Hyborian Age. She met and fell in love with a fellow warrior named Kendrick. Unwilling to watch the man she loved die a day at a time, as mortal men do, she used a spell to keep his youth forever, as long as he stayed within the boundaries of her realm.
Years later, Astriel was suddenly abducted by the wizard Thoth-Amon from her native realm, and brought to Stygia. Seeking to obtain her vast power he used spells and physical torture, in an attempt to break her spirit and bind her to his will. Astriel resisted fiercely, but her defeat would have been inevitable had she not been rescued by Kendrick.[1]See Also
