History
The Athena One Space Shuttle was a shuttle owned and operated by NASA, it was stationed at Cape Canaveral in Florida. Its primary function was transporting scientists and supplies to the Skylab, which was located in Earth's Orbit. The scientists stationed at the lab were tasked with performing experiments on Cavorite crystals, which were deemed unsafe to keep on Earth and had to be relocated to a less dangerous environment.[1]
Salia Petrie alongside several other astronauts were sent to Skylab, to provide it with supplies and Cavorite.[1] When the shuttle was in orbit, a battle ensued between Ms. Marvel, Hecate and the Elementals. During their fight, as a consequence of Hecate's magic and the Ruby Scarab, vast amounts of energy were emitted. the heightened energy levels caused the crystal to overload and explode, seemingly killing all the astronauts and wrecking the vehicle.[2]
Salia Petrie, who was presumed death, later turned up alive. She was rescued by the Faceless One.[3]See Also
