A powerful member of the Black Ring, Lady Athyr-Bast bid five-hundred scarabs at the slave market auction for Conan, who was eventually purchased by Zula for a thousand gold pieces. In retaliation for his offence, she summoned a magical creature against Zula and Conan, who eventually defeated it.[1]
