Attuma presumably shared a similar history to his Prime Universe counterpart until Captain America was not recovered from the ice. This meant Captain America was unable to stop the Nazi Sleeper robots and allowed the Nazi's to rise to power in America. Doctor Doom and the Red Skull struck a deal for the remnants of the world, Red Skull controlled the Western hemisphere and Doom controlled the Eastern hemisphere. The two would constantly try to gain the upper hand over the other. To this end, Doom hired Attuma and several other villains to do work for him. On one such mission, Doom had awakened Captain America and had him command the group to a Canadian facility to take out part of the defense system and steal something for him. Whilst on this mission, they revealed to Cap the truth about Doom and the world and they tried to kill him, but he was saved by the X-Patriots who fought and defeated the villains.[1]
