History
After Set consumed Hyppus to gain his power, Chthon and most of the other Elder Gods followed his example. War of cosmic proportion broke out among them as they struggled for dominance. But with their action began a degeneration, and those gods who had consumed their kin, were soon reduced to demons. With each god swallowed, Set's power grew to unmatched proportions, with the remaining gods such as Oshtur and Gaea forced to seek refuge elsewhere in the universe.
Gaea was among those who refrained and thus saved herself from the fall. She sealed the world from both Set's and Chthon's influence and also entered a union with Demiurge to produce Atum who went on to hunt slay the Elder Gods who became demons.[1]See Also
