Aubrey Chilton married Astrid Bloom's widowed mother and with her had a baby girl to whom Astrid's mother gave all her maternal love to the detriment of Astrid,. Also when Astrid at the age of 13 revealed to Aubrey and her mother of the emergence of her telepathic powers both rejected her, forcing her to leave home.[1] It was later revealed that Astrid was not hunted by her parents, but she mentally controlled her 5 year old sister Yvonne who killed her parents in her sleep and Yvonne was interned.[2]
