History

Audumbla was one of the first creatures in existence, appearing second after Ymir. She was allegedly conceived from Ymir's melting, but possibly she was Gaea in one of her many guises.

For ages, they wandered on Niffleheim. Ymir was nourished on her milk, while herself found her sustenance in licking the endless ice.

She eventually found Buri, and either freed him from the ice by licking it (according to the legend) or watched him free himself.
